Material girl

Isn't it strange that I still spend as frugally as I have when I was broke. Not that I am rich now but I do have a good job and a dual income household. But I still spend as though I am making $10 an hour. I guess it's a good thing but it's a hard habit to break. However I do feel as that it has it's advantages. Don't get me wrong; I travel and have expensive hobbies (ie wakeboarding, snowboarding, ect). I guess it evens it all out.

I am still rather appalled by some people how they can spend so freely. But then everyone has one or a few vices. We all enjoy our lives differently.

Just a thought...

Have a good week y'all!

Just because

Went wakeboarding at wake nation this past weekend and I don't think ice ever had any trouble riding the cable system but I sure sis this time. Must have been all that dancing I did the previous night. Anyways here are some pics. But none of me wakeboarding since it wasn't even worth taking.

Happy birthday to this cutie:

And here's a pic of the night before. Celebrating a friends birthday:

Well hope all is well in the blogosphere. Cheers to a great upcoming weekend!

Bonny and Liem

One of my very dearest friends is expecting and I was honored to take a somewhat impromptu baby bump photo session that took us 10 mins to complete. Here's one if the photos.

Anyways my goal this year was to take more photos but yet it's already May and this is all I have to show for. Well it's never too late to start right?

Cheers to the happy couple!

First Marathon

The race started off extremely cold, raining, and windy.  It was brutal and probably one of the worse running conditions I’ve ever ran in.  I finished within the 6 hours that was given to all runners for the full marathon so that’s a good thing.  I was really aiming for 5hrs or under but overall I just wanted to finish before they opened the streets up.

I couldn’t have asked for a better running buddy.  She kept me motivated and going.  Thanks Lil Bit!!!!

I had absolutely the best cheerleaders too!  I wouldn’t have been able to do it all without them cheering me on.  thanks Debbie, Bonny, Londyn, and Lo for running along with us for a few blocks!!!!!!  Thanks Lo for being photographer/papparazzi!  They braved the cold and waited for me to pass up.  My hubby and my dad also cheered us on and followed us from mile 23 til the finish line.  My daddy is such a trooper,  he isn’t a young buck anymore.  He biked along with the hubby and took pictures.  He must have rode 7 miles that day!

What an experience.  And maybe in a couple of months after I’ve forgotten how brutal the run was I may want to sign up for it again… We’ll see…

Congrats to all those that ran this weekend!!!!  And I am truly blessed to have so many supporters!

Happy Hump Day Peeps!
